Quiche crust #1 An untested recipe
1 stick (1/2 cup) butter cut into small pieces
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 large beaten egg
1 tablespoon ice water
1/2 cup almond meal
1 cup GF Baking Mix (
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Combine butter with salt, flour and almond flour using your fingers.
With a fork add the water and egg, beating smooth.
Form the dough into a ball, flatten into a disk, and cover with a floured piece of wax paper. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
Roll the dough between waxed paper. Flop it into a tart or pie pan.
Remove the waxed paper and patch where needed. Flute the upper edges.
Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown then proceed with your quiche recipe.

4 Tablespoons chilled butter cut into little pieces
1 large egg beaten beaten with 1/2 teaspoon of water
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Combine corn flour with butter until crumbly.
Add egg and water. If it's still too crumbly, add a little more water.
Pat into a pie pan and up the sides. It should be thin.
Bake 12 to 15 minutes before adding the filling.
